this edition of nirvana mail explores meaningful ways of setting intentions and goals that bring us closer to our dreams. it also considers the weight of loss that we feel when we outgrow certain dreams, or possibly even fail to attain them.
a single thread of devotion runs through it all, tugging here, and weaving there. it implores us to consider how we view our dreams, and consequently, ourselves.
to define is to limit,
may we never remain the same.
to desire is to be human,
pull yourself out of complacency.
the world is as you are,
and so it is.

all that is, and all that will ever be, is impermanent; the body, the mind, the world. a concept so vast and incomprehensible to the human brain that we spend our meager seventy-something years on this planet trying to create whole monuments and legacies that we may be remembered by.
the very first issue of nirvana mail is dedicated to this insurmountable urge to create tactile ephemera in this endless field of transience. the essay will include some theological musings from buddhism, jainism, hinduism, and islam as a means of understanding the origins of this concept and how we may wrap our minds around it in the contemporary world.
